Sandwich Glass Museum

The Sandwich Glass Museum interprets the history of the town and its glass industry. On display are more than 5,000 glass pieces created by the different glass companies in Sandwich during the 19th and 20th centuries in addition to new introductory exhibits.

Visitors are able to learn about the intriguing world of glassblowing as a glassblower demonstrates glassmaking in all its complexity.  A 20-minute multi-media presentation called “Sandwich: The First 200 Years” presents a history of the town. The museum’s dazzling gift shop features new contemporary glass artists as well as reproductions, perfumes, jewelry, paperweights, vases, and ornaments.
