The MIT Museum

Begin exploring over 150 years of education and research at the forefront of science, engineering, and technology at the MIT Museum. No dusty academic enclave, the Museum is bursting with creative energy that brings MIT's world-renowned research and rule-bending spirit to life.

“Robots and Beyond” throws open the doors of the ground-breaking artificial intelligence laboratories at MIT. “Mind and Hand” illustrates the lore and legend of life at MIT. You can see amazing holograms, catch the time-stopping beauty of strobe photography, test your skills on the computer-generated Metafield Maze, and jump in the air only to see your shadow frozen on the wall. “Gestural Engineering: The Sculpture of Arthur Ganson” is a roomful of ingenious, interactive kinetic sculptures that never cease to amaze and delight visitors.
